Our Radio Location Networks facilitate real-time personal and asset (vehicles, cargo etc.) location- based services on a metropolitan scale.

Telematics’ technology is based on Terrestrial, Differential Time Of Arrival (DTOA) which is highly immune (in contrast to GPS-based location) to the RF jamming (intentional or non-intentional) and line–of–sight interference which are so common in heavily populated urban areas.

Location Based Service (LBS) providers that have deployed our technology are providing robust and very reliable services for the safety of elderly people and children, vehicle recovery and commercial fleet management services as well as many security- driven asset management and monitoring applications.

Our offering

Telematics provides its customers with a full turn- key installation of the terrestrial infrastructure (base stations and related equipment) , including the Network Control Center (NCC). as well as a variety of end-user terminals for different applications and services:


Integrated Base Station Units (IBSUs) - IBSUs receive, process and transfer (to the NCC) data from all types of end units terminals within the metropolitan deployment region.


Network Control Centers (NCCs) – process IBSUdata and provide location and asset status information to the customer and/or to the operator's service providing units.



Client Command Post - Regional command centers are installed for distributed fleet management operations.



Vehicular Location Units (VLUs) – VLUs end-user terminal specifically designed for vehicle operation. VLU also supports 2-way messaging capabilities for covert location, anti-car theft, or fleet management applications.


The latest VLU device is SMART, the Security Monitoring AND Recovery Transponder - a miniature tracking and messaging device that can be easily installed on assets. SMART equipped with a built-in battery, is a highly cost-effective and resistant to radio interference. The device employs advanced techniques to optimize battery life, which typically lasts five years, and proprietary algorithms to ensure highly accurate location readings in open areas as well as places obstructed by foliage or tall buildings. 


Personal Alarm & Locator (PALs) – PALs are portable devices that enable personal safety and monitoring services as well as asset tracking outside and inside buildings within the coverage area.

System operation

The Network Control Center (NCC) interrogates a specific end-user device whose response is picked up by several base stations. Each base station performs signal analysis for Time Of Arrival (TOA) determination and feeds measured data to the NCC. The NCC executes Differential Time Of Arrival location determination algorithms and updates the data base accordingly.

End User terminals may also trigger the location cycle independently, using application specific rules that are determined by the operator. Typical applications are distress signals, tampering alarms and timely monitoring of persons and assets.

The network also supports, as a built-in function, two way messaging between the NCC and the end- user unit. This feature enables a large variety of added value applications such as engine hours management, speed monitoring, work force management and many more.

The NCC interfaces with the end customer via a host or Application Specific Programs which are all accessible via the Internet.
